Andrew Hayward

Head Designer-Drill Design-Leadership Training-Consultation-Marching Fundamentals

Andrew Hayward is the founder of Fusion Designs. He has been active in the marching arts for over 14 years and has won awards at local, state, and regional competitions. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in music performance and is currently acquiring a Master's Degree from Rutger's University. Andrew has performed in various groups with locals ranging across the United States and into Europe. A former member of the 9 time DCI world champions The Cadets , he has given back to the activity by teaching numerous DCI , DCA, and highschool groups. Most recently, Andrew was appointed Visual Designer and Visual Caption Head of the Spirit of Newark, a DCI corps based out of New Jersey.

 

Nick Merson

Drill Design-Music Arranging-Marching Fundamentals

Former member and baritone section leader of the 9 time DCI world champions The Cadets, Nick has an abundunce of teaching and writing experience. His marching experience spans nearly 10 years, and ranges from college and NFL show bands, to competetive high school and drum corps. He has worked with both growing and established programs in Maryland and New Jersey. Nick holds a Bachelor's Degree in music education from the University of Maryland, and is currently teaching in the Baltimore area. During the 2007 season, he wrote drill for two Maryland bands while helping the Reservoir High School Marching Band to a State Championship, and a 4th place finish at the USSBA National Champhionship.

 

Rick Delancy

Head Designer-Colorguard Design-Consultation

Rick Delancy is a former member of The Cadets and Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. As well as having been seen on Broadway in productions
such as "Fosse" and "Chicago: The Musical". Rick brings the best of both worlds to the marching activity with his special blend of theatrics and innovation. Currently designing and consulting for numerous Marching Bands and Winterguards in the New Jersey area, Rick is striving to lift the professionalism of the activity through accurate knowledge and instruction.

 

Miguel A. Bolivar

Consultant

Miguel A. Bolivar has been teaching and writing marching music for various bands in the New Jersey and New York area. He has worked with various ensembles of different sizes that have gone on to win their respective chamionships in either USSBA or MAC. Miguel graduated with a Music Education degree from Montclair State University and currently is pursuing two masters degrees in composition and saxophone performance at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University.

 

Gary Stonerock

Head Designer-Percussion Arranger-Consultant

Gary Stonerock has been a leading percussion educator and writer in the state of NJ for nearly 10 years. Winning numerous awards at both the state and regional level ,Gary inspires his students to obtain excellence. Gary currently adjudicates for both the Cavalcade of Bands and the US Scholastic Band Association.

 

Michael Wyatt

Head Designer-Percussion Arranger-Consultant

Michael Wyatt has been active in the marching community for over ten years. He started in this activity in 1998 as a member of the Highland Regional High School Marching Band. During his schooling there, they won the 2000 TIA Scholastic A Chapter I Championship, and the 2001 TIA Scholastic Open All-Chapter Championship. Mike has been teaching since 2002 at southern New Jersey schools such as Deptford, Burlington Township, and Eastern. He was a member of the WGI Percussion Independent World Finalist, United Percussion, where he aged out in 2008. Mike was also the front ensemble section captain for the 9-time world champion Hawthorne Caballeros from 2005 through 2008. Mike holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies: Percussion Performance from the University of the Arts. He currently serves on staff at United Percussion (pit tech), Eastern Regional High School (battery instructor/arranger), and Burlington Township High School (assistant band director).
